Covid in the House, and an Invitation for Thursday
Hello everyone! I had the second part of the Survivors' Voices: New Beginnings post on my list for today, but plans have been a bit derailed by the arrival of Covid in our home.
My husband Mike tested positive on Friday and has been feeling pretty crummy since then. (We live in a small two bedroom apartment, so he is isolating in my son Benjamin’s bedroom, while Benjamin sleeps on the couch. It’s tricky, but we’re making it work.) As many of you know, I struggle with chronic illness, so our family has been extra careful throughout this pandemic for my sake. Fortunately, Benjamin and I are both feeling fine and have tested negative so far, so we’re hoping we’ll stay healthy.
Anyway, if you want to offer a little prayer for Mike and for everyone suffering from Covid right now, especially those who are most at risk of complications, that would be much appreciated.
I’ll work on New Beginnings, Part Two for next week. In the meantime, you might want to consider joining Awake Milwaukee for our Courageous Conversation event taking place online this Thursday evening:
It’s a pretty incredible panel of speakers, and I would love to have you join us. Just sign up above to attend live or receive the recording later - and feel free to spread the word!
Until next time,
Sara
