Thank you to everyone who weighed in on my questions about the future of the Reading Roundup feature - both those who encouraged me to focus on taking care of myself and those who said how much they value this offering. This month I’m experimenting with an abbreviated format to see if this less time-intensive version still provides some value to my readers. Please let me know in the comments below if you think this format is worthwhile!
As a reminder: This is a collection of news, analysis, and reflections about the twin crises of sexual abuse and institutional betrayal in the Catholic Church, particularly in the United States. I only share pieces that I find thoughtful and worth reading, but that doesn’t mean I agree with every word contained in these articles. (I believe it’s valuable to read information from a variety of sources and perspectives, but I think that disclaimer is especially important now that I am not giving my own context and commentary when I post links.)

So informative as always. So sad to read McCarrick interview in 2002 now that we know how dishonest he was.
I have now read what we call The Dallas Charter- I don’t see Article 1 being followed but I’m glad I know what it says.
Thanks for the wonderful information
