In case you missed it, this weekend brought big news on former-cardinal Theodore McCarrick: This serial abuser has been dismissed from the clerical state or, as the headlines call it, “defrocked.” I’m not a reporter, so I’m not going to attempt to summarize all of the events that led up to this decision.
