I don't know who you're referring to with "they," but my focus here is on sexual abuse of both children and adults, male and female. I would never want the abuse survivors who read this blog to be told that their traumatic experiences are somehow unimportant or a distraction from "larger problems."
I never said the abuse of children was unimportant. The "they" I refer to are: the institutional Church (with a few exceptions), most of the Catholic media and all of the mainstream media. I am glad that you are addressing more of the problem - but the stories you linked to were examples of what is known as a "limited hangout".
